The AI Deep-Tech GTM Checklist: 7 Questions of Commercialization IMC

If the technology is proven but the market is not moving, the problem is usually delivery. Here are seven GTM audit questions I have used across twenty years of leading global launches for VR, AR, and AI products.

1. Is there a one-sentence definition?

Investors, partners, and first customers should describe the company in the same sentence. The definition must be written in the market’s language, not in technical specifications.

2. Does your market definition ground your valuation?

Listing TAM figures is not the same as showing the structure of the segment you win. Half of IR storytelling is decided at market definition.

3. Are the first-impression assets ready?

CI, website, introduction video, one-pager. The four things a counterpart sees before the first meeting must share one tone.

4. Have you designed zero-budget channels?

The Grammy backstage placement closed without placement spend. Polished proposal assets substitute for budget. Build the proposal asset list before the budget plan.

5. Is there a sequence for global stages?

CES and MWC are sequences, not one-off events. Pre-event media outreach, on-site activation, and post-event partnership follow-up belong in one design.

6. Is a content engine always running?

Only a prepared engine catches seasonal momentum. The standard is a pipeline that combines AI-based production automation with a domain expert’s Creative Finish.

7. Have you designed visibility for the AI search era?

Zero-click, AEO, VEO. You need structured data and Q&A-format content so that answer engines, not just search engines, cite your brand.

If you can answer all seven, the skeleton of your GTM is standing. Wherever an answer is missing is exactly where IMC should step in.
